Let's talk a little bit about Ray County.

I think it's important to bring something back to my home state here in Missouri. Where I grew up. Was raised. Went to school. Own property. And call home.

There's a lot to share about Ray County in Missouri. This is one of 26 counties in the 4th Congressional District of Missouri that I'm running for U.S. Congress in 2016.

You can't get much more rural and down home than in Ray County. The total population here in Ray County is around 23,000 people. Geographically, it's considered part of the metro Kansas City area. But it's east of Kansas City, and made up of small town communities. So it's very rural. Very small town and down home living. Good values. Good morals. Very down home.

Ray County is a great reflection of my campaign for Congress. Being small, rural and to your roots gives you the greater chance to speak your voice, sing your song and let people know about you. Being the underdog forces you to be self made. To have the discipline to be independent to make your destiny.

Ray County is in the northwestern part of the state of Missouri. Not too far from my to my hometown area. And it's a very rural area, made up of  10 small towns, and several villages, unincorporated communities and townships. From where I live in Lamar, drive east on back roads to Route 13, then drive north to the area. Very rural, and down home community.

A little bit about Ray county:

Ray County in Missouri started back in 1820.

The largest town in Ray County is Richmond. But there's a total of 10 small towns that make up Ray County in Missouri:

Richmond
Woods Heights

There's also many villages, unincorporated communities and townships that make up Ray County as well.

I live in Barton County. Barton County in Missouri is south of Ray County. Very rural area.

A lot of issues that need to be addressed relate more than ever to small town rural America. And Ray County is no exception.

Taking care of our Farmers. Veterans. Senior Citizens. Children. Education. Health. Equality. The Second Amendment. Drug reform. Prisons, jails and the Criminal Justice system. Small business. The Homeless. Making our country great again. Taking care of our own here domestically, and focusing on the little man and woman. The rural communities are our roots. Where everything got started. There's no discipline anyone. This culture doesn't follow rules. It's time to get back to some basic hometown values and traditions.

I've worked all kinds of jobs from coast to coast.

Got to know all kinds of cultures over my life. From New York to California. Dallas to Chicago. Florida to Utah. All my life. From my childhood to present day.

I have a lifetime of experiences: from education, business, military, public speaking, rural and metropolitan, to creative and innovative experience.

In a nutshell, I've lived a life less traveled. And want to share my lifetime of experiences to make our country a better place. For everyone.

Pulaski County: Ft. Leonard Wood, 11 Towns and the Military

Let's talk a little bit about Pulaski County.

I think it's important to bring something back to my home state here in Missouri. Where I grew up. Was raised. Went to school. Own property. And call home.

There's a lot to share about Pulaki County in Missouri. This is one of 26 counties in the 4th Congressional District of Missouri that I'm running for U.S. Congress in 2016.

You can't get much more rural and down home than in Pulaski County. The total population here in Pulaski County is around 52,000 people. So it's very rural. Very small town and down home living. Good values. Good morals. Very down home.

Pulaski County is a great reflection of my campaign for Congress. Being small, rural and to your roots gives you the greater chance to speak your voice, sing your song and let people know about you. Being the underdog forces you to be self made. To have the discipline to be independent to make your destiny.

Pulaski County is in the Southcentral part of the state of Missouri. Not too far from my to my hometown area. And it's a very rural area, made up of  9 small towns and villages, 6 unincorporated communities and 22 townships. From where I live in Lamar, drive south on old highway 71 to Interstate 44, head east and drive towards. Very rural, and down home community.

A little bit about Pulaski county:

Pulaski County in Missouri started back in 1833.

It's the site of Ft. Leonard Wood, a large military base. In fact, the military community makes up a big portion of Pulaski County. Being an Army veteran, the military is a very personal issue to me. We have to have a strong military, and protect our veterans. So it's nice that a military base is in my District.

There's a lot of history behind Pulaski County. The county's earliest settlers were Native American tribes of Quapaw, Missouria and Osage. White settlers came to the area from Kentucky, Tennessee and the Carolinas in the 1800's.

There's a public airport in Pulaski County. The Waynesville Regional Airport is in Ft. Leonard Wood, but it's a public airport, even though it's on a military base.


The largest community in Pulaski County is Ft. Leonard Wood. But there's a total of 11 towns and communities that make up Polk County in Missouri:

I live in Barton County. Barton County in Missouri is a little west of Pulaski County. Very rural area.

Polk County: Small Towns, Southwest Baptist & Hometown Memories

Polk County is in the Southwestern part of the state of Missouri. Very close to my hometown area. From where I live in Lamar, drive east on back roads about 30 miles to Highway 13, then drive a little south to the county. Very rural, and down home community.

I have great memories of Polk County. In fact, with it being so close to Lamar, I consider Polk County a part of my big backyard.

Polk County in Missouri started back in 1835.

It's home of Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar. During my college days at Missouri Southern in Joplin, I was very active in college Debate and Speech Forensics. And SBU has a legendary college forensics department. I made great friends from SBU during my college years on the debate circuit. Great memories. Good people. Lots of good, down home lifestyles. In the heart of America.

The largest town in Polk County is Bolivar. But there's a total of 9 towns and communities, 6 'unincorporated communities' and 22 townships that make up Polk County in Missouri:

Pettis County is in the western part of the state of Missouri. It's considered the Sedalia area. And it's a very rural area, made up of  8 small towns and communities. From where I live in Lamar, drive northeast on back roads about 100 miles or so to the county. Very rural, and down home community.

A little bit about Pettis county:

Pettis County in Missouri started back in 1833.

It's home of the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia. Every summer, that's a major event for the state. I've been to several state fairs over the years in Sedalia, and it always makes for a good time. Lots of good, down home lifestyles. In the heart of America.

Education plays a big part of Pettis county. There's a lot of public and private schools in the community.

The largest town in Pettis County is Sedalia. But there's a total of 8 towns and communities that make up Pettis County in Missouri:

Very rural, and down home community.

A little bit about Morgan county:

Morgan County in Missouri started back in 1845.

The county was named after named after General Daniel Morgan from the Revolutionary War. Also, PT Barnum and Jesse James visited the area quite frequently. So there's some interesting history.

The largest town in Morgan County is Versailles. But there's a total of 9 towns and communities, along with 6 'townships' that make up Morgan County in Missouri:

Lafayette County is in the western part of the state of Missouri. It's a little east of the Kansas City area. From where I live in Lamar, drive north to Kansas City, then east to the county. Very rural, and down home community.

A little bit about Lafayette county:

Lafayette County in Missouri started back in 1820.

It started out with migrants from Tennessee, Kentucky and Virginia who brought slaves and began making crops, primarily hemp and tobacco. This part of Missouri became known as 'Little Dixie'. In fact, during this time, slaves made up almost 30 percent of the population.

Education plays a big part of Lafayette county. There's several public schools, private schools and colleges.

The largest town in Lafayette County is Odessa. Lexington is a close second. But there's a total of 17 towns and communities that make up Lafayette County in Missouri:
